Business Card

Business Card

The most presentable way to advertise your business to an upcoming customer will be with a credit-card-sized paper card that would usually hold your business details like your name, contact details and branded logo. furthermore, there would be a QR code to present the website of the brand accosted.

A business card is effective for representing your identity brand, the correct business card provides important personal contact information such as name, title, email, website, address and phone number but oftentimes it also indicated a QR code for easier access for a website/portfolio. The business card is often the first exposure to your overall image for your business. A company would indicate a logo that is proximately displayed for your brand identity. Simple stuff such as fonts, colours, texture and printing represents a message about the type of industry represented. Specialising in the printing technique can be used for embossing, foil stamping, thermography or even laminating. A business card reflects your personality and the company main message.

Within your image, there is representation and strategy represented covertly professionalism and preparedness because image nowadays is everything. Having a business card presents that appearance of professionalism and shows correct practice for planning.

business cards sometimes are exchanged faster than social media usually high accessibly too for example if your business card has a QR code I've got faster access to your website which contains content and social media information too.

Usually, my process for designing something will include sketches and furthermore preproduction but for the business card I looked up templates that have already completed ideas and what not due to the fact they were already completed presenting the overall message, image, representation, brand and furthermore.

I swapped serpent elements within the design because I wouldn't use them and my brand will not need to have such dedicated information within the business card specifically talking the most useful information is my professional title (videographer) and aside from that my QR Code for my portfolio.

While designing the card and putting ideas together there I was balancing the elements I will use for my card so it doesn't look uneven; if I added too much text and images it wouldn't present my business card as a business card it could be seen immature/unprofessional/ unpredictable and that is not what I wanted my brand and overall image to be associated with keeping in mind these reasons I created a more sutled design still intergrading the imagery and colour scheme of my overall brand and embed my QR code while doing that I created these outcasted lines for a futuristic look because I was thinking that just a plain background with a singular backdrop colour would not benefit me.

Almost completing the business card I started to see some elements not executed to my standards and due to that reason I redesigned the layout of the business card and decided to include my QR code top right of the card just the colourful futuristic design and important information on the right such as my name, profession and a pinpoint location.

I've obtained constructive criticism from multiple people but also professional designers too and I have lost some of the conversations we had with my associates the most outstanding criticism that I could remember was that it's basic but also creative as in its simple to look at and very informal which is exactly needed within a business card. They referred to not wanting something crazy to look at the business card because the main reason for having a business card is to physically exchange information about your brand and image, there are circumstances where a business would exceed at creating something visually pleasant due to their image and image but that is not the case for my business.

Draft 1 :

My business card looked all right but not exactly how I wanted it, most of the issues were the fonts and size of some elements. after that, the QR code look more cartoonish presenting the wrong energy and image I wanted to present in my work after that I decided to use another website and made a different QR code look more business compatible. Throughout the process of creating the business card something bothering me will always be the image I chose for the accent details in the bottom right section. after a while I decided to decrease the opacity and light level of the image.

Draft 2 :

After frequently changing the fonts. I decided to use a bold font easy to read and calm to the eye. Some preset of the fonts I did not like due to that I decided to change the distance between individual letters and the height of them too. After scouting a good position for my QR code for the website I've created I decided it to be in between the elements detail and stage at the top right corner.

Final Draft :

This is the final look for my business card and I'm very joyful of how it has turned out, I wanted a matt black background to present professionalism because it's such a powerful and lovely dropback and easy to work with, after the background, I decided to lay down a blush effect seen from the right side of the business card and made it more realistic looking. When finished working with that I was wondering if I wanted to make another logo or use an already made logo for my business card and I think I made the right choice by just using my website logo and then replicating the gradient used for my logo and applying it on another text and my final touch was the design at the right to make it more aesthetic and fill in space but also trying not to complicate it due to that I applied a masked image of a woman by masking it around the design and then just adjusting the opacity levels. After all of that, this is how it turned out.
