A career in Media: Digital Artist/VFX Artist
Digital art is basically artwork done via digital technology and being a part of the creative or presentation process. From the 1960s there have been multiple names describing this process of art, including computer art and multimedia art. digital art has been a term of new media for a while but after some resistance due to technology development, the impact of digital media has transformed into paintings, literature, drawing, sculpture and music/sound art. While the form of digital art was mainly represented with visual artwork being completed of a computer many started to expand the sense of "digital art" as contemporary art that uses the methods of mass production/digital media.
But further, the fewer techniques of digital art started to be used extensively on mainstream media in advertisement and by film-makers to produce visual effects. Desktop publishing has been also a huge impact on the publishing world, although that is more related to graphic design. Within both terms is traditional art being used by many sources of electronic information and programs to create their work. There are parallel lines between visual and musical arts, general acceptance of valuing digital visual art may progress much more within the same way of increasing acceptance of electronically produced music over the past three decades.
I think digital art can be purely computer-generated with fractals and algorithmic art that takes from other pre-existing sources similar to scanned photography or image was drawn using vector graphic software just by using the mouse or a graphic tablet. Throughout these years technically there hasn't been terms applied for art that has been non-trivially modified by a computing process similar to an alike computer program, microcontroller or any electronic system capable to interpret input and creating an output but digitalising text data and raw audio with video recordings are not usually considered digital art within themselves but can be part of a larger project on computer art and informational art. Artworks are considered digital painting when created similarly by a non-digital painting but also a software and computer platforms of digitally outputting the resulting images and painted on canvas.
BossLogic (Digital Artist):
Boss logic is a graphical artist from Melbourne, Australia that has presented a lot of media content attention due to his photo manipulations, often creating fan casts of comic book characters or using actual casted actors/actresses in their roles.
Within his education status Kode Abdo mainly known as Boss Logic attended RMIT University A global university of technology, design and enterprise world leader in art and design; Architecture and the Built Environment: Engineering: Accounting and Finance: and Business and Management Studies. He has been studying there from 2011 to 2012 obtaining a degree in photography.
tapping into his professional life BossLogic was fascinated by art and started drawing roughly around the age of six years old, still has not taken the pen out of his hands but after transferring his skills to a digital platform Kode was able to express his true form of creativity into a wide audience a move that came with great success.
Kode is still learning new skills along the way of being thought any different styles from other talented artists and teachers of his. Kode has been capable enough to present his own significant style of visual representation and stories through his thriving thirst for knowledge being something that never goes away from this individual so he keeps challenging himself and building these blocks to get where he needs to be. Kode loves making collaborations with the right talented people because he gets knowledge from their take on his designs and learns off that foundation presented right there and then, foundations are created too on major outcomes and to be reminded for what they have done he would usually publish them on his famous Instagram page(2.3M & 8.7K Posts to present date).
This is what he mentioned in a Twitter post a few years back “Art, in general, is like poetry it may rhyme and flow all together or it may not rhyme but has a valid point, as a digital artists we are the new breed of artists and we are all trying to innervate our own style to be remembered and past on as a foundation you laid down that’s why knowledge should be an addiction with no cure you just keep wanting more and you do whatever it takes to get it”
From Jan 2011, He was the lead artist at Shodowlogic in charge of all promo materials for events and media presentations, Ranging from prints all the way to promo trailers. This is also what he had to say about it "I love the world, I just need to add my touch to it. My theory is you start with everything and you choose to lose it along the way creativity is what golds us all together. I first started drawing when I was 6 years old and I still haven't taken the pen out of my hands. After transferring my skills to a digital platform I'm still here where I have been working for the past 8 years in, my own company BossLogic inc; born from me being a self-made artist, a Graphic Designer."
Another side from him is Partnership recently he has Ethernity chain, Which is a community-oriented nonfungible token platform that has partnered with graphic artist BossLogic to launch an exclusive line of tokenized art pieces for the community. With the new agreement standing firm, BossLogic has created 2,500 NFTs exclusively for the Ethernity Chain network. Each NFT will be priced at 0.299 Ether (ETH). The exclusive NFT auction is designed to reward the Ethernity Chain Community, the company told Cointelegraph "since our first announcement that launched Ethernity Chain we have witnessed our community grown almost overnight to a worldwide community. Since the demand has been so high for our whitelisting, we wanted to reward our community with access to the first official Ethernity Chain NFT"
NFT market is on an exponential growth path as more users look to acquire digital collectables. As Cointelegraph recently reported, NBA Top Shot has generated $230 million in sales, highlighting the growth of blockchain-based digital art.
I have always been inspired by many alike visual artists such as Boss Logic but the difference between him and others in his field frequent ones that I can think of on top of my head are, his background and his drive simply it is as if were like one another due to that reason I choose to always present my artistic side towards visual effects or digital art alike himself, I always enjoyed doing stuff on my computer and similarly it became a hobby over time I thought about bringing it into a career but put it on hold for a while and even then everything has its time and eventually I decided to run with that idea and start my own team similar alike his (XEM) but the difference being me editing and categorising into visual moving arts, for example, music videos or short films rather then still image editing...don't get me wrong I still enjoy making posters and album covers but for me, there is something more tehre I can create while its a video because its in motion and not just a singular stand still frame.
